FOTD - Monday 30/1 - Wednesday 1/2 2012

As I haven't really been doing much more than working (from home) and some errands, I've been going for a simple but pretty bronze look. I want to use my NAKED palette as much as I can atm (you know that newly in love feeling ;P) and I've found that "Smog" is that perfects soft brown bronze everyday colour. It's kinda' like MAC's woodwinked only not as orange/gold more brown/bronze which makes it easier to wear on a day to day basis.

Note: UD = Urban Decay, MUS = Make Up Store, VLD = Viva La Diva

If you have MAC Woodwinked at home but you're not really using it because you think it's too orange, I really suggest you check out Urban decays website or in store if they sell Smog individually (if you don't wanna buy the whole Naked palette) 'cause it really is a more wearable brown version of wookwinked =)

Beauty MUSTS when in Sweden!

Most of my readers are not from Sweden which is where I'm from so I thought it would be nice to tell you guys what products and brands I thinkyou should check out if you ever come on vacation =)

Here in Sweden beauty products are very very Very exspensive so there is only so much that's worth checking out and you really need to know what to look for. Otherwise you will go in to a beauty store and see the prices and just give up.

What you need to check out:


1. Viva La Diva (the NYX of Sweden)- They offer great eyeshadow palettes in various sizes which are of great qualtiy and great prices. Also if you're into glitter eyeliners, they have a wide range of them and they are great =)

2. Isadora (budget brand who focuses on good quality whilst being hypo-allergenic) - I know that Isadora is available in the US and to some degree around the world. But if you ever come here tha brands is available practically everywhere and you must check out their bronzers. Great quality-great price-non animal tested-hypo allergenic! Also check out their eyeshadow quads, they're awesome!

3. Make up store - Yes also available around the world but surprisingly few know about the brand. It's the makeup that a lot of swedish makeup artists use (we get a pro-discount) and it's not weird at all. The eyeshadows are super great quality, especially their s called microshadows (Make up forver sizes). I think they cost 129 SEK (exactly the same as one MAC eyeshadow here) and you will have to work really hard to use up all of the shadow! Their blushes are supe pgmented and are also worth giving a look. Really the entire range of products are worth checking out.

4. Lumene Finland - one of my fave budget brands here (yes they are finish but available here also). I love their face products - particularly their face primers! Their powders and their eyeshadows base are really good too. I'm not sure if they still do but they used to carry a body lotion that was tinted and had beautiful golden shimmer in it (body glow something), beautiful on your summerlegs!

I hope this was somewhat helpful for you guys. Maybe it inspired you to take a weekend in Stockholm some time ;P It's really a beautiful city during summer (all year really but more so during summer). And if you're not planning a trip maybe you got curious to the brands I mentioned. For example I know that Make Up Store has a store in London so you guys in the UK should really check it out =) They're also available in Dubai, New York, Denver, Vietnam and so on and so on =) Check their website www.makeupstore.se to see all the places they're available at.

FOTD - Everyday smoke inspired by Stacy Keibler

Hi guys!
I wore this look wednesday this week but forgot to post it. So here goes =)

I absolutely love Stacy Keibler's look and style, and she always has gorgeous makeup. This year's Golden Globe awards was no different. She wore a beautiful soft smokey eye but she kept the shadows on the upper lid and none on the lower. I thought that was so pretty and perfect for everyday (except the false lashes hehe). I toned it down a bit though, I was just going to a hockey game, not the red carpet ;P

I haven't really thought about wearing eyeshadow and NOT wearing any on the lower lid. But I actually like it very much for everyday. It gives you that soft definition without being too dramatic and take to much time. And do you know what? I actually have always loved the look of eyeshadow on the lower lid with nothing on the upper lid, so why not the other way around ?! ;P Try it, try both ways =)

FOTD - Shopping my stash.. found an oldie but goodie

So I was shopping mys tash this mornign for something to wear today. Guess what i found?? Oh yes I found MAC's eyeshadow Satin taupe. I'm sure a lot of you are quite sick of hearing about this colour so if you own it you really never use it because you're so tired of it. I was that's why I only used it a couple of times before I just put it away in my palette. But as I said I found it again and it is that amazing colour everyone says it is. Great for everyday AND smokey eyes..

FOTN - Saturday date night

So yesterday my boyfriend took me out on a date night =) We've been together for a little more than 2½ years and I feel it's really important to still take the time to go out on dates just to keep the fun in your relationship.

So he took me to the Italian restaurant in the old part of Stockholm that we went to on our second ever date. It's one of my fave restaurants ever, it's small, cozy, great food, great service (we got comlementary champange just because we were early and had to wait a few minutes, such great service) it has those classic red & white square table cloths, it's just one of my faves. If you ever have the chance when here in Stockholm go to Ristorante Paganini Väster Långgatan 75 Old Town..

As you can see I went for a little smokey "sexy" look. I think this is as heavy as I go when on dates. I wouldn't go for more just because I want John to see my eyes and not just the makeup. Also I went for lipbalm as it's soooo much nicer when you kiss ^^

FOTN - Lauren Conrad inspired look..

So tonight I was at a friends house just hangin' out with some friends =) And because I had watched The Hills reruns all day today I felt like doing a Lauren Conrad look for the night. She always has a black liner with a little wing on the upper lashline, she also lines her lower lashline (1/3 of the way in) and connects it to the wing. To make her eyes pop and open up some more she has a cream/white eyeliner on the waterline..

Now, I didn't want that very defined look that a gel liner or a liquid liner gives, so I just went for a pencil to soften the look =)
