Holiday gift ideas - H&M Cosmetics for your younger sister

When I started out with makeup I loved getting a fun looking palette to play with for my birthday or christmas (still do) and H&M's palettes are great for the beginner; they are qualitywise ok and they're very affordable.. So the palettes which ever one you choose are suitable for a younger sister just starting with makeup wanting some colours to play with. H&M also has great little nailpolish kits, lipglosses and brushes. You could by a small makeupbag and fill that with a little palette, an eyeshadow brush and a lipgloss and any 12-14 yearold would LOVE it =) AND it wouldn't cost you too much =)

Check out what H&M has available here!

Holiday gift ideas - Travalo.. For him and Her!

We all travel a lot in our lives. We co back and forth to work, travel on vacations, go to see our family that lives elesewhere. We travel a lot!!

I'm sure you all have heard about the Travalo, a sleek perfume spray tube thingy.. It holds 4ml and I think 50-60 sprays so it will last for quite some time. It's perfect for airplanes as it is so small..

It's easy to get the perufme in the tube as you just take the cap off from the perfume and place the travalo on it and then pump. So this little genious thing I think anyone would be glad to recieve as a gift. they come in multiple colours like gold, silver, pink, blues and so on.. So depending on if you'll give it to a girl or boy you can choose the colour best suited.. Here in Sweden it costs 115 SEK and I think around $10 in the US. So not too exspensive I think =)

Find out more about the Travalo here!

Christmas came early - Style By Tyra event goodiebag..

So last night me and a few friends went to an event in form of a fashion show that Style By Tyra hosted. My boyfriend who's an eventplanner got me and my friends in as VIP haha.. Ooooh the looks you get when you're let in to the party first infront of the "regular" people..

You guys mght not know who Tyra is. She's a blogger here in Sweden that started a jewelry shop online called Style by Tyra. The company grew and she's one of the biggest bloggers over here and now she's created a clothing line. You can find her on her blog or her online store... (they do ship worldwide)...

Anyways.. The show was fantastic and I saw a few dresses that I liked but I actually enjoyed the dancers that started the show more, they were the best part. They were amazing! unfortunately I didn't take my camera with me so I don't have any photos of the actua event but I have taken pictures of the goodiebags we got as VIPs =)

She really spoiled all of us with an amazing goodiebag worth so much money..

It was stuffed with great prdoucts!! And so big!!

We got a freebra, one of those that stock to your breast and then you lock it in front.. This one I will give to my mom as it was to small for me ^^
A nice silver necklace, very very in right now haha
And a giftcard of 200 SEK = around $30

Aurea Tanning gel for face and a bodypeeling cream

A Waterclouds Hairspray - I'm not really a hairspray person, I mostly use styling powder. But If I'm doing a hairstyle that needs hairspray it's always good to have =) Also good when friends are around, they always seem to need hairspray hehe ^^
L'oreal Total repair 5 shampoo and deep conditiner - Also always nice to have..

Brilliantsmile whitening toothpaste - I've gotten the full size one in another goodiebag from an event me and my boyfriend went to 6 months ago almost. I didn't like the taste of it and I didn't see a difference. But hey a toothpaste is a toothpaste and you always need it =)

L'oreal Lash Architect 4D Mascara and the Infallible cream shadows - it has been quite a buzz around these Infallible cream colours so I'm excited to try it as I never would spend the money on it myself (exspensive here in Sweden I'd rather just use my money on MAC paint pots actually)..

Now this is intruiging.. It's a whitening toothbrush that uses a blur light to do it.. Hmmm
At first John wanted this but when I saw what it does I think I'm gonna keep it to myself hehe ^^

So that's "all".. So much stuff.. There will be quite a few reviews up here very soon ;P

NOTD - Snow Globe sparkle

I'm really missing the snow. By this time last year we had 4ft high snow everywhere and -20c ! Now there's no snow at all =/ I don't miss the really really coldness of last winter but I miss the snow. I want a winter wonderland ^^

So in the spirit of missing the snow I painted my nails white and covered that with a beautiful glitter from China Glaze called Snow Globe =)

Now the sparkles are a bit pastelly for looking like snow that sparkles but it's still very pretty and it makes me feel happy and festive =)

Holiday gift ideas - Skincare for him (or her) with oily skin!

Maybe you've got a friend, brother/sister or a cousin that really doesn't know how to take care of their skin. Maybe they even have som acne problems and still doesn't know how to deal (let's face it most of us that has acne prone skin do everything we can to make the skin looking nice so they probably do know something) with it..

Here are a few products that I swear by that would make great gifts for him and her =)

The Body Shop Tea tree face mask - I absolutely love this product! Whenever I have a breakout I use this and the next it's all cleared up. It's really a mirace worker. It is very strong so you use either once a week (if you break out quite often) or when you get a breakout (like me). You put this on your clean face for 10 minutes and then wash it off, use a toner and then your moisturizer. I gave a sample of this to a friend who has a boyfriend with acen, and he LOVED it so he went and bought the full size tub =)

TBS Tea Tree skin clearing toner - A lot of people don't use toner and I have noo idea why. A toner is absolutely crucial to get your skin clean and clear. A toner removes the bakteria and other stuff that your cleanser missed, it also cleans your pores better than just a cleanser. You should use a toner everyday before you moisturize so that you don't make the misstake of "locking" in the excess bakteria and dirt when you use your moisturizer. Maybe if you have dry skin you can get by without a toner but if you have combination/oily skin you must use one. it will really make a difference. This particular toner helped me clear up my skin in just a few months and now I use the seaweed one cuz it's more gentle. but when ever my skin freaks out I need this toner!

TBS Seaweed mattifying day cream - Moisturizing is key for keeping breakouts and spots away. Many makes the mistake of drying out the skin but that will only trick the skin into thinking it need to produce more oil. So you see the problem there! A moisturizer that does exactly that- moisturize, and keeps the oils away is what you need. this one is a great one, it sinks into the skin quickly but still moisturizes your skin throughout the day and yet it manages to keep oils away. I use this one when I need to save some money and can't go buy my beloved Origins Balanced diet, and it works really great!

I think these three products would make a great gift for someone who needs a little help with the skincare. It's not too expensive but still great quality products!

FOTD - Old gold Holiday look

I was feeling a bit festive today and when I found an old Lancome palette (never been used) with some beautiful old/antique gold colours I was so excited! I immediately created this look using all four colours in the palette..

I USED
Face: Chanel Pro lumiere foundation in 20
Too Faced Primed and poreless loose powder
NARS bronzer Laguna
MAC Beauty blush in Her own devices (LE)
DIOR Highlight powder Amber diamond

Eyes: Lumene bauty bade eyeshadow primer
Lancome Palette Liberte in 02 Or Liberté
MUS eyeliner Vanilla (waterline)
Max Factor 2000 calorie mascara
Isadora eyebrow pencil in Light brown

Lips: NYX Matte lip cream in Stockholm

I absolutely love shopping mys stash for stuff when I'm out of inspiration. I have a few Lancome palette/quads that I've never used before (been lazy with my MAC shadows I guess). I'm so glad I found this particular quad. It's so pretty. Don't ya think?? =)

NOTD - Depend nr 115 + lilac glitter

So for my birthday i got a few of the mini polishes from Depend ( a nailbrand here in Sweden ) from a friend. I got a really cool bright mint green, a very bright coral red, a white nailart polish (with a very fine brush) and this dark purple colour.

Now since it's winter (even though the snow hasn't come yet) I decided that the purple one was the one to go for first. I love this purple. It's dark but you can still see that it is a purple and not a black. i have a few dark purples that are so so dark that if you're not in direct sunlight they look black. So I absolutely love this colour. And of course I couldn't resist using som glitter on my ring fingers ;P I went for a lilac one that I think looks great with the polish =)

NOTD - MAC Soirée

I love this colour. It's such a beautiful rose gold with the prettiest metallic finish. It only takes one coat for it to be opaque and it dries super quickly.. For it to last long on the nails it's safest with 2 coats and a top coat..

Unfortunately this is a limited edition colour fron MAC's Champale collection. I have seen a very similar colour from Orly though.. Can't remember the name but I bet if you google Orly and Rose gold polish you will find it =)

NOTD - China Glaze Ruby Pumps + glitter

The perfect holiday polish will forever be China Glaze's Ruby Pumps. It's the perfect red sparkly colour that really makes you feel that holiday spirit. Of course I couldn't help myself from covering my rngfingers with som red glitter but it actually didn't make that much of a difference to the other nails.. hmm anyways my nails are still pretty =)

(ignore the stupid "dents" on the nails, I can never be still damnit, fortunately it only
shows in pictures and not IRL ;P)

The glitter only shows up (barely) in the picture without flash (the right one) and in surtain lights irl. I guess the colour was to close of a match with the polish ^^

Fall/November Favorites..

The Body Shop Candied Ginger home fragerance oil, Body butter AND shower gel - Such a beautiful sweet and sour and christmasy and all that yummyness you want in a scent! I'm completely obsessed!!

Loose glitters (for nails mostly) and particularly MAC's Reflects pearl (on top of the stack in a sample jar)- It's so much fun with glitters on the nails. Try it if you haven't!

Christina Aguilera perfume "by Night" - I had forgotten that I had this in my perfume collection but since my CLEAN outdoor shower fresh ran out I needed a new fave atm and this one is just so nice and warm, sweet but sofisticated but not too sofisticated lika an old lady perfume. It's just perfect for fall/winter =)

MAC Constructivist paint pot - This is the perfect base for a brown smokey eye (what I've been going for atm), perfect underneath Mulch e/s. this is a staple cream shadow EVERYONE should have!

Ge liner (any gel liner really) atm MAC's Blitz & Glitz - I've just been enjoying the classic winged liner a lot this fall/november, so easy and pretty..

MAC eyeshadows in Mulch and Embark - Much is that perfect all over brown smokey eye colour (medium/darker brown with golden shimmer) and Embark is that perfect everyday definition eyeshadow (matte dark brown with red/warm tones to it) especially for blue and green eyes as the red tones in the shadow really make the eyes pop.. These two shadows are also staples EVERYONE should own ;P

What products have been your favorites?? =)

FOTD - My go-to everyday look featuring MACs Embark eyeshadow..

We all have our go-to look for everyday wear. Atm mine includes MACs eyeshadow in Embark, a warm toned redish dark brown that's absolutely gorgous along the lashline. Particularly for us blue or green eyed girls =) The warmth and red in the shadow really complements the blue and green and makes it stand out a little more (and you don't have to wear orange or bright pink ;P), at the same time the shadow is dark enough to really frame the eyes and thicken the lashlines.

My go-to everyday look includes (atm):
Face: Garnier tinted eye roll-on
L'oreal Touche Magique eye concealer/brightner
Bare minerals original foundation
NARS bronzer in Laguna
NARS blush in Deep throat
DIOR highlighting powder in Amber Diamond

Eyes: MAC e/s in Embark (along lashlines and winged) +
Vanilla (highlight, inner corner and browbone)
MUS eyeliner pencil in Vanilla (waterline)
Isadora eyebrowpencil in Light Brown
Max Factor 2000 calorie Mascara in Black

Lips: Any lipbalm I have on hand

FOTD - Keeping with the blues...

I've been really into blues lately, and not any blue, it has to be pretty and sparkle ooor it has to be royal and dark.. So yesterday I opted for a royal bright blue eyeliner from Lancome instead of my usual e/s Embark from MAC =)

I USED
Face: Garnier tinted eye roll-on
L'oreal Touche miracle concealer
Bare Mineral original foundation in fairly medium
NARS bronzer in Laguna (lighlty)
NARS Blush in Deep Throat
DIOR Highlighting powder in Amber Diamond

Eyes: NARS Laguna Bronzer (swept over lid lightly for tiny more depth)
MAC e/s on Vanilla (as highlight)
Lancome eyeliner pencil in a royal bright blue (name has rubbed off =/ )
MUS Eyeliner pencil in Vanilla (waterline for neutralize)
Max Factor 2000 calorie mascara
Isadora eyebrow pencil in Light Brown (great for medium blondes)

Lips: Eucerin lip balm
