Products I've hit pan on atm..

Since I use so many different products all the time, eyeshadows blushes etc. It's rare that I hit pan on something so quickly. BUUUT I have hit pan on 3 products atm. My absolute fave eyeshadow highlight, my fave blush and my fave bronzer (chocker that they are my absolute faves right? ;P)

¨
This is one of my favourite blushes ever. NARS Deep throat.
It's kind of a weird place for hitting the pan but when I got the blush it was a little
(tiny tiny tiny) dent there along the side, so I guess that's why ^^

My fave bronzer, NARS Laguna. In summer time I rarely wear a lot of makeup. I usually go with a TM, concealer, bronzer and blush on my face so I've been using this every day since summer began.

MAC eyeshadow Vanilla.. OMG this is my must have absolute fave hoghlighter ever.
It's easy to work with, easy to build up, it has a nice finish (satin) not too shimmery or matte.
It's just theeeeeee perfect highlighting shade =)

What have you hit pan on recently??

2011 VMAs - Kim Kardashian inspired makeup

Hi guys! I had the worst day today ever.. So when I got home the first thing I did was calm down with some coffee and a Jerseylicious episode (yes I know that combination may not be calming for everyone ;P).. After that I felt I needed some makeup therapy and decided to do a VMA 2011 Celebrety look. I decided on Kim Kardashian's look, just beacuse she had on such a nice purple shadow that I thought was more fun than a regular smokey eye.. Here's a picture of Kim at the VMA's..

Here's my look

Now, I could have gone out a bit longer with my liner, winged it out more but I didn't hehe
An update on what products I used will come later or tomorrow =)

NOTD - OPI Flashbulb Fuchsia

So I wanted to paint my nails today after I cleaned the apartment.. You know, to relax myself and feel a bit more pretty (I usually feel quite disgusting after cleaning haha) but I had no idea of what colour I wanted.. So when I looked in my collection I found an old fave of mine, a bright bright fuchsia pink with some blue shimmer.. I haven't used it in probably a year so I though it was time now =)

Isn't it pretty?? It looks a little softer in the picture than it does in real life though =)

Review - John Frieda Go Blonder Lightening spray

I bought this when I was in Amsterdam a few weeks ago. I had been wanting this for so long and couldn't find it here in Stockholm. Anyways.. I've been using it since I got it and it definately works!

What John Frieda says:
Versatile, patent-pending formula with citrus and chamomile works with styling heat to gradually lighten and brighten for a natural-looking, blonder blonde. Contains thermo-protectant. Patent-pending technology combines fixative and conditioning polymers that retain hydrogen peroxide, allowing for control of lightening. Visibly lightens in 3-5 uses.

I say:
It has definately made my roots lighter. I have now used maybe 7 times (I don't use hair dryer or flat iron every time I've washed my ahir) and it has made a big difference. The mark between my coloured har and my roots has faded a bit and my roots are not looking as dull as they usually do (you know that greyish rat blonde). You do not need much of the product. I spray about 3 times on my roots and then maybe once lifting the hair on both sides of my face. I did see results in maybe 4-5 uses.
Now they say it has heat protectant in it allready but I always use my Tresemme heat defence anyways, just to be safe =)

Conclution:
I really recommend you giving this a try if you wanna lighten some areas (like the roots) of your hair. Maybe you just wanna maintane the summerhighlight you've gotten out in the sun during summer? I bet it would work great for keeping that sunkissed look for longer =)

FOTN - Lauren Conrad inspired look..

So tonight I was at a friends house just hangin' out with some friends =) And because I had watched The Hills reruns all day today I felt like doing a Lauren Conrad look for the night. She always has a black liner with a little wing on the upper lashline, she also lines her lower lashline (1/3 of the way in) and connects it to the wing. To make her eyes pop and open up some more she has a cream/white eyeliner on the waterline..

Now, I didn't want that very defined look that a gel liner or a liquid liner gives, so I just went for a pencil to soften the look =)

I USED
Face: Lumene Beaty Base Matifying primer
MAC Select cover foundation NC30
MAC Studio finish concealer NC25
MAC MSFN
NARS Bronzer Laguna
NARS Blush Deep Throat

Eyes: Lumene eyeshadow primer
MAC e/s All that glitters (lid) & Vanilla (highlight)
MAC Eye Khol Feline (lashlines)
MUS Eyepencil Vanilla (waterline)
Max Factor 2000 calorie mascara
Isadora Brow pencil Liht Brown

Lips: MAC lipstick Hue
Elizabeth Arden Eight hour cream

Dupe alert - MAC Misschievous Mint vs. H&M Mint Green polish

Ever since I got the MAC Misschievous mint polish from the Quite Cute collection it has been a fave of mine. A true companion I would say ^^ Now, when I got the Summer nails minis kit from H&M about a week ago and I wore the Light Blue one and then the Mint Green one I found myself thinking "wow this polish reminds me of my MAC one" about both of them. So I thought I would compare them today. And seriously I found a 100% dupe for my LE MAC polish that I love sooooo much.

I mean, just look!
MAC Misschievous Mint - H&M Mint Green - H&M Light Blue

MAC Misschievous Mint - H&M Mint Green - H&M Light Blue

The Light Blue one is way more light blue (as the name suggests) than the other two and doesn't have any hint of green in it (yes in the pictures it's quite similar but trust me it's not). But the other two are exact spot on dupes! SO if you missed out on the Quite Cute collection from MAC and have been wanting the super duper awesome Misschievous mint polish I suggest you go out to an H&M store and see if they have the little Summer nails Kit (4 mini polishes for 39.90 SEK = £3.88 = $6-26). Maybe they even have it as a normal sized polish? I'm not sure..

Both MAC and H&M polishes has great formulations and they are set with just 2 coats. They are both smooth and easy to work with. I'm so happy I found a dupe of my beloved MAC one, cuz now I don't have to be careful of how much I use it ^^

What do you guys think? Do you like mint polishes? =)

Pretty Little Liars Look Series - Spencer

So as I've said my camera has decided to start working a bit again (for how long I'm not sure) so I did the second Pretty Little Liars look yesterday. This time it was the look of Spencer Hastings. Hope you like it =)

Now, when I see Spencer on the show she almost always wears a matte look. Often she wears cooler toned browns and it looks great on her. She also quite often wears a darker shadow on the lower lid/lashline area and a lighter one on the lid. So that's what I did. =) Also she looks like she rarely have anything on the lips (maybe a very natural brownish lipstick) so all I did for lips was to put on some EA 8 hour cream.

I USED:
Face: ACO Bronze face gel mixed with Revlon Colorstay Foundation 180
MAC MSFN
MAC Beauty powder Her own devices (LE Venumous villians)

Eyes: Lumene Shadow base primer
NYX e/s in Taupe (lid) and Hawaiian Coffee (lower lid)
MUS Vanilla eyepencil (waterline)
Max Factor 2000 calorie mascara
Isadora brow pencil Light brown

Lips: Elizabeth Arden Eight hour cream

NOTD - H&M Light Blue

FINALLY !! I got my camrea to work again, BY pushing a button haha.. Anyways, since I'm not feeling well atm I thought I would give you my NOTD =)

w/o flash vs. with flash =)
I LOVE this light blue colour it's so pretty! The picture w/o flash is the most true to colour.
I've never ever had a just plain light blue nail polish but I found this one in a little kit of four mini polishes at H&M called Summer Nails. It had a light blue, a coral, a pale yellow and a mint green.. Really nice!

Easy Summer Hairstyle #3

Now, I know I said I was gonna do Easy Summer Hairstyles series during summer, AND summer is almost over. But my camera has really been acting up, it's been rebelling! Finally I managed to take some pictures late last night. I think it's time for a new camera =/ any suggestions??

Anyways here is hairstyle #3

How to:
Take a small front section of hair (or big, depending on how thick you want you braid) on each side.
Leave out the absolute top of your hair. Start braiding. Secure them with elastic bands and then pull 'em back and secure with hair pins or a clip =)

Amsterdam Haul - Clinique & John Frieda

Now these two products I found randomly when going in to the drugstore Da, last shop before going to the hotel to check out and go home. We went in because I saw that they had a huge sale going on (as many other stores) and I just got sucked in..

On the first shelf of hairstuff I find the John Frieda Go Blonder Lightening spray that I've been wanting to try for a few months now. I haven't been able to find it here in Stockholm so I was happy to find it there and at the great price €7.95. I found out today that it would have cost me around €15 here in sweden, so that was a good deal for me =P (it was not in the sale).

I also found the Clinique Liquid facial soap for combination/oily skin. This was on sale for €15.95, which also is a great deal for me cuz it wold probable cost me around €30 here in sweden. So the price won me over and I needed a new cleanser cuz I'm almost out of my little 30ml Origins Checks and balaces.

So here they are =) I've only tried both of them once, but I have them with me at my mom's atm so we'll see how I feel after the week =) Have you tried any of these products?

Behind the scenes - Today's shoot

We had such an amazingly smooth shoot today it's crazy. It was one of those days when everything just falls into place and comes out even better than you've hoped for! Such a great feeling.. I worked with Jörgen and Elina again (as I did on the 70's inspired shoot) and a model named Jessica. We worked so perfectly together and as I said, everything just fell into place and came out better than we expected =)

Here are some behind the scenes I took while having the time =)

We started of with a natural flawless face.
Then we added some bold red lips =)

Elina the stylist in action..

Me and Elina combined our skills in hair and did Jessicas hair ourselves =)
Lil' bit of a 20's feel. LOVE!

Jessica is workin' it..

Such a pretty girl! The last look we went for makeup-wise, was strong brows and bare face.

Amsterdam haul- INGLOT COSMETICS!

Since Sweden is like the ONLY country in Europe that doesn't have an INGLOT store I had to take the opportunity of going in to the one in Amsterdam. WOW, I was so overwhelmed! I went in like a kid in a candy store not knowing where to start. I was so careful when touching the products in the beginning you could have thought I was handling diamonds! Then when the girl working there gave me the magnitized tray to start picking colours for my palette I got more comfortable and really enjoyed it, haha.

I went fore a 10 piece square shadow palette, a duo square shadow palette, and a gel eyeliner.

Now when picking colours for my 10 piece palette I wanted colours I could use every day, that I could build up, that I could match with almost any other colour, AND that I could use for working with brides.. This is what I came up with:
I went for a lot of mattes cuz it's the most flattering on brides I think =)

Then I went for a duo with 2 blues. I quite often wear blue under my eyes but I haven't had anything to match my pencil eyeliner I use. So I found these guys and MY GOODNESS I fell in love! I also fell in love with a plumish brown gel eyeliner, gorgeous!

Look at that! Such pretty colours.. And the last picture is when I've taken a facial cleanser and a scrub-sponge and tried to get the liner off.. Stayed on  even trough that. Also a tiny bit of the shadow in the right corner stayed on. Pretty amazing i must say =) A review of the shadows and the gel liner will come, ones I've tried them out more =)

I can't wait until we get a store here in Sweden.. We just MUST get one! I will CRY Otherwise!

Back from AMSTERDAM!

Hi everyone! I'm back!
We had such a nice time in Amsterdam me and John (my boyfriend). We both have been to Amsterdam before, but both were teenagers and couldn't really enjoy the city as we could now. The whole energy of the city is awesome, everyone are so friendly and helpful.

The shopping is great- clothes and jewelry is the way to go (and INGLOT of course ^^)
The food is amazing! We went to two steakhouses for dinner. First one was an American one and the second one a Argentinian(is that right?) one. My favorite was the Argentinian one beacause they had a better selection of fish and sea food.

The café's are amazing aswell- we had "brunch" everyday in different cafés. It turned out to be cheaper and so much nicer. I really recommend you sleep an hour or two longer and go out for breakfast/brunch because you really experience the city more when you do so (they love their cafés in Amsterdam). And the shops doesn't open until 11-12 in the morning so you really don't have much to do if you're in the city by 9. Some museums open around 9-10 though so you might wanna have a jumpstart on that. We however chose the "brunch way of life" =)

Now, Amsterdam is known for their amazing art and their museums. We went to the Van Gogh museum beacause we've always loved his work, and we felt he was more important the all the other artists they have on display at Rijksmuseum and so on. It was amazing, they also had som Monet displayed and he's amazing aswell so I really recommend you check it out, even if you're not an art-person (we're not really).

We also went to Anne Frank Museum, a MUST. I'm sure all of you are familiar with the diaries of Anne Frank. She and her family + 1 family + a man went inot hiding in an apartment/attic at her father's spice factory during the german occupasion of the Netherlands. She wrote a diary almost every day about her life and her inner thaughts during hiding. To actually be in her room seeing her posters that she put up to make it more homey and nice is just so humbling and overwhelming. You absolutely MUST go there if you're in Amsterdam. And if you haven't read her diaries, DO!

I could go on and on about the city and how much we love it but I won't. You probably won't even last trough this post haha.. A haul of what I got is coming up so look out for that =)
